Just a quickie from the garden today as we are busy packing for our holidays and since it's in this country we have to account for all weather eventualities! I'm rather pleased with these Antirrhinum which I grew from seed as they have been great colours but the flowers are so fat that only the bigger bees have been able to burrow inside the flowers. I notice now that the older flowers are coming through they are a bit easier to open. It's such a clever flower that it seems a shame to have bred versions that the bees can't 'work' any more!!
Apologies if I get behind on the commenting over the next few days - I'm not sure what internet access I'll have but I'll be doing my best!!
The good old Snapdragon !! Lovely fat one as you say & pretty colour with the two tone shade! Have a great holiday & we will look forward to more of your brilliant picture ! It will breathe new life into your photo taking...not that it needs to improve after the PP ones we have had this week ""
Great shot.
I just bought in some snapdragons this year and you are so right hey have lost som eof teh simplicity of shape. I had to work quite hard to get them to 'snap' . Guess i just never grew up.
Beautiful capture, I especially like the colours! Congratulations on making top four of the weekly top 20!!! And have fun during your holidays and loads of sunshine :)!
Lovely capture of that busy bee hard at his work! Beautiful color in your lovely snapdragons ~ quite the green thumb you have to grow them from seed! Enjoy every moment of your holidays, Judith, no matter what the weather. :) See you when you return...
Beautiful! Love the processing. And yes, it seems a bit silly to breed/create flowers that the bees can't properly pollinate! Have a wonderful holiday!

Have a great holiday! I hope the weather will be okay-ish!
