This copse of young birch (?) trees at the Gog Magogs has been turing increasingly beautiful for a few weeks now. I grabbed a few quick shots before dashing around with Monty ahead of a meeting. We were going well except that a nice lady in the doggy-play area kept calling her poodle with a very effective 'Come, come!' and a bag of liver cake and Monty was altogether more excited by her than he was by following me.
Accidents on both the major ring roads around Cambridge and a bomb alert in the centre of town have caused quite interesting traffic conditions today.
really like the carpet of green here and the light. A really interesting shot. Bomb scare in town huh? you sure that they weren't alarm bells ringing at your Chelsea buns purchase!! LOL and your mention of Galaxy has got me craving! tut tut!
@judithg there were more than siren going off when i got back from holiday - the scales screamed, then so did I when I realised NONE of my work trousers would do up!! EEK
@judithg tee hee - Mum and I were in hysterics at the weekend about the lines you spin yourself to convince yourself it's not fat but something else. My sister has just been told she's got a thyroid problem - so of course I piped up -maybe I have too - it would explain EVERYTHING!! (nothing to do with doughnuts!!)
If I was in an art gallery I'd say - quite abstract and surreal
If was describing the picture, I'd say very smooth and quite a golden green hue to it , with a hint of woodland flavours ......but then I could be describing a nice glass of Chardonnay :)
This is a sea of green & so pretty , I love the lone tree trunk with the hint of red on it !! This photo could almost be a Spring picture as the foliage looks quite young ! Bit scary in Cambridge then by the sound of it !!!
Beautiful colours - it's really gorgeous outside at the moment (shame I'm stuck at my desk for the next 3 weeks!). I missed the bomb alert yesterday even though I was in town - will have to wait until by Cambridge News delivery girl gets past Snowy's barking reception to get all the details!
