Huge thanks for the lovely response to yesterday's misty morning shot. We are blessed with beautiful buildings and it was very photo-friendly weather so I couldn't go too far wrong. This afternoon on the other hand was characterised by harsh sunshine that made it difficult to see let alone photograph anything. Monty and I took a slow walk around Wicken Fen in the heat. I slowly (!) chased this short, fat dragonfly to see where it would settle and was very surprised when it chose Monty's lead! The dragonfly looked OK in the photo but the background of out-of-focus grass made you go cross-eyed so I've had to go processing mad. Sorry! Also I still have loads to do before Adam's birthday tomorrow so if I don't comment tonight I will be checking out your pics in the morning.
A high-wire walking dragonfly! WOW who knew they would be into this! Fabulous close up and a FAV for me because I know how hard they are to catch! Good luck with party!
Dragon flies are so beautiful but I think hardly ever see them up here !! How lovely to land on Monty's lead ..hope he realised how honoured he was !!! It has made a brilliant photo, just balanced on that blue length of lead & Monty being a good boy keeping it taut at the other end...a class act !
