I walked over from Cambourne to Bourn with friends and dogs this morning. It rained very heavily all night but the forecast was correct when it said it would brighten up around lunchtime. There is a road between this cottage and the path I was standing on which has a ford running across it. We've had so little rain that it's been easy to walk though but the river was flowing fast and furious this morning (nice to see) and we had to take the alternative route over a little bridge. From the slightly higher vantage point the cottage was looking very pretty surrounded by its autumn colours. Now I have a very tired dog and a pile of work to crack on with - not a bad combination. Thanks once again for the great comments on yesterday's pic - they mean a great deal!
Classic cottage...lovely. I kept looking at the houses as I walked this afternoon and it seems the lovely ones were in the shade or had ugly wires, and the shabby houses were the ones in full glorious sunlight.
