It's been a day of staring at very slow moving bars on computer screens, wondering just how long some programs can take to load, with a brief intermission to meet my friend Karin in Waterbeach for a walk along the river. She has a six month old labrador called Oscar - very cute and already better behaved than Monty - I so chose the wrong breed.
Huge thanks for the fantastic response to yesterday's photo. I walk around the town so much that I don't often stop in my tracks in awe but yesterday was one of those times.
Great silhouette & a bird in the bush is a wondrous balancing act ! I don' t envy you messing with computers all day, it would drive me mad !! Tell your dog walking friend Rebecca I received her book The Deep End today & I think she is a genius !! I have come to understand that the main components in a small children's book are the illustrations so I have no chance writing one !
@happypat Oh I will!! She's very clever - everybody thinks they'd love to draw a children's book but they are so hard! She has had a lot of art training - it doesn't just happen - & she comes from Bolton so she's had a good Northern education! She has three books coming out this year - I'm off to buy the new one for my friend's little one tomorrow.
@judithg I will definatly buy Max some more in time ! I seem to have collected lots of books to take with me including Hugh Fearnly Whittingstalls Veg book...wont be room for my clothes if I don't stop !
@fueast Pretty sure she won't know the difference but she's having a really rough time & his dad will appreciate it. Monty will enjoy Cannock Chase - he can have a good run after deer over there!
