I was off out early with Monty this morning so I could get on with work stuff which has piled up while I was computer-less. I also had in mind some nice sunrise shots which were thwarted by Adam producing an enormous blister 5 mins before the bus. After fruitless searches for enormous plasters I ended up driving him to a later bus which meant I was half an hour late for all the pink skies. Anyhow I spotted these people heading off to work across Midsummer Common in different directions. I like the fact that I'm not sure where to look in the photo for the subject.
Huge thanks for the fab response to yesterday's pics, especially Jeffrey Archer's garden. I may brace myself and go to the open garden in the summer - you can all be variously pleased or irritated that he lives in a fabulous place!! At least Mary is a hard-working scientist....
I really like this, Judith. It's a very lovely shot. I like how you caught the sun flare and also the silhouette of the man; oh, and also the biker. I almost missed that. So much to see in this pic.
You have your bike in this shot but also four other workers in this one shot so you did well !! I was trying to see if you had captured one I the signal box too but perhaps all automated now !! Wonderful layers of interest here & a great sun flare too !!!
This sure captures the theme of the day - going to work and I love the way people are going in different directions - it makes it so much more interesting and makes you wonder what each of them does when they get t their destination
@happypat I was just thinking that this looks like a railway bridge but it's actually a foot/cycle bridge over the river. The windows in the background are at the back of Midsummer House Restaurant which featured earlier in the month - funny how it's featured twice in quick succession from never! Is there a work theme going on - it's lucky if there is!
Wow- yet again you are just at the right place at the right time! Either half works extremely well on its own, but in the same frame separated by the flare, well, girl, you got it!!
