I've been enjoying the various 'white on white' photos that have been posted recently and, scouting around at home for a shot, I spotted one of our hen's eggs and thought it was worth a go. This one was laid by our White Leghorn named Powerz Dragonslayer by Adam (the other two are Betty and Frankie named by Rachel and myself). I'm pleased with my shot although the background is rather grey and I haven't decided whether I like the strong shadow. Anyway - I can pack my camera for Marrakech now! Hope you all have a good week and see you when I get back. And @happypat have a great trip to NZ!!
White on white is so difficult, and this one turned out great with all these different shades of white. It's beautiful! Have a good time in Marrakech; can't wait to see the pictures! ;-)
I love W on W shots but I have not had any successful ones yet. I see what you mean about the shadow, I struggle with shadows too, but this one fills the frame nicely ;) Enjoy Morocco. Can't wait to see your pics.
This made me smile after my efforts! I thought an egg would be a good idea.....all mine were brown! lol I love the effect of this style....great shadows. Still green here but........have a brilliant trip...can't wait to see all those spicy warm pictures!
oh i really like it have a few egg shots myself love the shape and have a few marble eggs to anyway i never see white hens eggs only when i was in america and they were gorgeous (oh i know goose eggs are lol i meant duck blame dani she keeps talking to me when im typing) grand job old girl :))
I was just thinking with the popularity of brown eggs I rather like this clean pure white egg & you don't often see them... good old Powerz Dragonslayer !! This is very nice & I have been enjoying @anna's pale shots too although she hasn't posted for a while.
Thank you for your good wishes & have a great time in Marrakeck would think your photo's from there will be full of exotic colours & the complete opposite to today's picture !
aaw you're a good egg. Good job though. Does look pretty white which is always difficult indoors. New camera serving you well. Expecting to see more colour in your next shot. Hope you have a great time!
@busylady Glad you spotted that - I didn't notice till I tried a boost and then I realised you could see the yoke in the photo just from natural light! It made me happy!
Wow - another stunning eggshot by you :). I'd love to hang that one and the other one (the one with the tadpole) up as a diptych in my kitchen ;). Fav for me for a superb composition. Have loads of fun abroad and a safe trip!
I love the shadow gives it a nice contrast, enjoy Marrakech!
