I took a long overdue drive up to Rutland today to meet my friend Anne who is a very high flying scientist and runs a big medical research unit. She lives in a beautiful part of the country and we had a lovely walk with Monty while catching up on news. We didn't walk around Rutland Water itself as there are lots of cattle and sheep and Monty would have had to be on lead but we had this nice view from our walk. I'm not sure what the big house is - I should have asked her!
@judithg I want to go and check on the bluebell wood, but it's about a 3 mile walk away, and I've got the virus that's doing the rounds and I'm asthmatic, so getting soaked down't seem wise
@shanne No - bad idea. I thought I'd taken the right coat but didn't realise that I'd taken the lining out so it's just as well it didn't rain on us as it's not that warm despite the sun.
@shanne BTW I went to check on our bluebell wood on Monday and it hadn't progressed much in a week so I think you'll probably have a few more days at least.
this is a nice landscape shot judith...you should have took some rutland water back for your leaking pond !!! I hope the easter rain filled rutland with a few more inches !
That is a simply stunning sky and beautiful landscape! Exquisite capture, Judith! Sounds like you had a lovely day visiting your friend...it's so good to spend time catching up.
