I'm falling badly by the wayside when it comes to a photo a day. This one is another from Monday which was one of those 'good' days when I liked my stuff! I'll regret it when I'm browsing in a year's time. Anyway - the back entrance to St John's College. It's a beautiful walk but no dogs so we're banned.
Thanks for all the good wishes for my shoulder - I'm off to do the exercises again!!
Interesting close up!

I like it! Makes me want to go beyond the gate for a stroll=)

Great POV - this could have been a shot for my black theme if I'd seen it and taken it - lol

Great PoV and cool shot
May 30th, 2012
Great DoF. Nicely done.

Oh me and Poppy are tempted to raid it now... it looks so inviting.
May 30th, 2012
OOh like this. Really clever use of colour behind the scroll.

Love it! I don't know how you're keeping up as well as you are ...you've got so much going on in your life...especially your wonderful new blog. Hope that shoulder continues to improve. I had a torn rotator cuff years ago and it took f-o-r-e-v-e-r for it to heal. Of course, I think RA was beginning to make an appearance in my life and that, no doubt, complicated things. I hope you're 100% better very soon, Judith.

A simple shot that shows what a good photographer you are. Great POV, focus & with that promise of a lovey & unknown & forbidden path beyond.

Do you know, at work we have a scrolled side gate and the number of times I've tried to get a shot like this........never works! This is great and just as I imagined....a fave for inspiration! :-)

I really like this. Great use of perspective and DoF

Love your dof here. I am with Peggy- don't know how you keep up with it with blog, kids, work, shoulder, not to mention that it probably hurts to hold your camera!

@peggysirk @jgpittenger Yes well I'm shirking on the physio exercises! Must do better....

I really like this close up of wrought iron work, which I love because my dad was a blacksmith and I've watched him make scrolls like this.
May 30th, 2012
Love the focus & the shape of the curl. Lovely sunny bokeh too. :)
May 30th, 2012
Beautiful! Don't worry about catch up/miss out! No one is going to tell you off!! And when you find photos like this we just smile!
May 30th, 2012
Great focus and composition!
May 30th, 2012
@louisefrance Oooh what a great job!! Great for photographs too if he still does it!

@dawnie I might try a drippy version too - that's effective!!
May 30th, 2012

May 30th, 2012
Wonderful composition!!
May 30th, 2012
I love this....I had a similar idea for the theme.
May 30th, 2012
Love ironwork! The soft colors in the background really make the scroll stand out!
May 30th, 2012

May 30th, 2012

May 30th, 2012
Beautiful shot, I really like the spiral and focus. I've been slipping a lot lately also. I think 3 years of 365 might be my limit.
May 30th, 2012
I don't think there's anything wrong about using a shot from another day - is there? Some days are better than others. This one is stupendous! I love it.
May 30th, 2012
love the curves:)

Makes a good pattern. Perhaps you could disguise Monty - maybe in a wheelchair, give him a baby hat, dark glasses, you know...
May 31st, 2012
Lovely image. Very artistic.
May 31st, 2012
Very pretty!
May 31st, 2012
I wonder what is beyond and down that path. Wrought iron always draws the viewer into the scene.
May 31st, 2012
nice dof and pov
May 31st, 2012
How clever! Nice dof
May 31st, 2012
Great perspective and DOF! Love the colors!
May 31st, 2012
Love the DOF so the gate is really sharp and the background is just in focus enough to be tempted down the path. Nice.
May 31st, 2012
Lovely strong image with peek thro to that path.
May 31st, 2012
I would never regret a shot like this, really lovely. mind the shoulder.
May 31st, 2012
A beautiful round composition - in every sense of the word :)!

@ellida Now that's a thought!' 'Barking cough...'!
June 1st, 2012
Lovely composition and tones! Love the DOF

Like the abstract nature of this. I'm finding that I just have to take photos some days and post on others, then look at people's pics in batches, otherwise it all takes up too much time.

superb!
