There are very good things about getting up early to let the chucks out. Quite pretty large I think.
Three good things:
1. Rachel home for the weekend
2. Off out tonight to celebrate Adam's 16th so no cooking to do
3. Three hens out to meet me this morning so I'm hoping that means Betty is no longer broody and is ready to return to the land of the living.
This is superbly pretty. Didn't get in til 2.30 this morning so scuppers my own getting up early plans to find mists! Just in the process of sorting my diary out for the run up to December (too early to use the "c" word yet!) - are you still up for a day out in London? I'll text you over the weekend to try and fix something if you are
@boxplayer Why thank you! I positioned myself so that the sun was glinting on the raindrops and then set the camera on f22 which gives the starburst (a tip learnt watching, I confess, Alan Titchmarsh's chat show once!) It cuts down the light as well but that was OK as there were trees and things in the background. I kept a peg in at first but it was a bit too big compared with the droplets.
Judith 'viewing large' is fabulous....the sparkle and light works well.
The image really works well. Did you think of doing a letterbox on the top two rows? Those top two are the sharpest and clearest of the four and going 2 instead of 4 makes it more abstract !
@phil_howcroft It was a letterbox with a peg on the end of the line but I cropped it off - I wasn't sure that it would cope with too much more severe cropping though so I left it as it is. I know what you're saying though - I'll have a look at my other versions.
Just found your pic on the popular page where I knew instantly it would go when I saw it first. This means we're on there together again - just like in the "old times", it's been a while (mostly because my pictures are often rubbish these days ;)...) but it sure is cool!
Love your three good things!!!!! Have a great evening

I know you have enjoyed having Rachel home for the weekend.
