There were dramatic skies over Trafalgar Square yesterday. While we were meandering between the main galleries and the Sainsbury Wing it was raining and sunny at the same time and the square looked amazing but we weren't in photo-taking position. Taken yesterday of course but HDR'd today. And I must point out following yesterday's post that I do on occasion give change to homeless people without being given free bread myself first!!
Three good things:
1. The bus company are giving us a rebate because the town was immobilised by roadworks last month - not exactly the bus company's fault - presumably they will be billing the electricity company who did the immobilising.
2. A beautiful sunny start to the day.
3. Time to do some commenting later.
Lovely shot with so much to see Judith...did you use a special lens for this shot, I don't think I could ever get so much in the view finder as this?
I am amazed how red stands out in such detail on most photos, the edit is the tops!!
@happypat No it's just on the widest setting of the kit lens - so your camera can get this in! I was on the steps of the National Gallery so high up which helped. Three exposures merged together in Photomatix - not very natural looking but I quite liked a bit of unnatural in this case!
@judithg Really I am impressed with this & never thought mine could do anything like it. You have done the proper HDR too not just a button on PicMonkey...well done! Must go on the steps of the Harris Library!!!
