Starry starry night by judithg

Starry starry night

We took Monty over to Cambourne where you can do a decent off-lead walk without sinking up to your knees in mud - quite a rare thing at the moment. Our friends Jeremy and Linda put on a fine spread for afternoon tea including Jeremy's brandy butter ice cream made to his granny's recipe. Well - sensational! And I thought she was only famous for her meringues... Anyway their Christmas decorations are always very pretty so rather than a completely brown landscape I've gone for some stars.
Three good things:
1. I have been to Waitrose and we have finally moved on from turkey leftovers (we were in fact going to have turkey pie tonight but I couldn't bring myself to make it!)
2. Jeremy's granny's recipe legacy.
3. A few weeks ago I surprised myself by getting hold of 4 tickets to see Twelfth Night at the Apollo - quite far back in the Upper Circle but it has had great reviews and the only other tickets left for any shows were single seats scattered around the theatre. So that's where we are going tomorrow night except that we had a phone call from the Box Office saying that those seats were sold to us in error and they have upgraded us at no extra cost to the stalls instead. I don't know how they found those seats - maybe ones the cast can give away or something but thank you very much Apollo!
Lovely pic Judith and well done on the seats, I like it when nice things happen to nice people.
