Oh I know it's not much of a hill but it's all we've got. I should have had a great choice today - fabulous hoar frost on the Gogs even in the afternoon but I couldn't get the angle/background/sun/shade/focus just right and I'm not in love with any of them. Especially not the one where I was squatting precariously just as Monty shot forward and I ended up on my knees in a mud-slush combo. Anyway this man (you may need to view large!) was causing some vague irritation on the 'off-lead dog path' by telling everybody he was dog-phobic and insisting they put their dogs on leads. It seemed like an odd choice of route when there are lots of 'leads only' paths up here which are much more scenic and the other is the only official 'off-lead' path I can think of anywhere near Cambridge. This bit is leads only so he was safe.
Three good things:
1. Nigel home after two very long days.
2. Last day of mock exams tomorrow.
3. I've remembered to empty the hens' water pot so I won't have to spend ages thawing it out in the morning.
Wonderful landscape. Although you have used your lens at 18mm, it appears to be semi-fisheye because of the perspective. The chap on the right gives added atmosphere, isolation and interest.
Laughing in comradely sympathy re the hens water! I bring my contraption in every night now so that I don't have to make 2 trips in the morning! This is a wonderful, spacious panoramic shot, a little masterpiece, with the huge sky down to the perfectly placed little (dog phobic) man on the skyline. If I'd been there he would probably have had Bertie hanging on to his trousers . . . .
omg dont you just hate them people why do they always find the dog walks to go on as well ..stoopid peoples lol great shot tho judith and enjoyed the diary :) your as bad as me.
@fueast Well he smiled at Monty but really upset a man with a chocolate lab - mind you Monty told the chocolate lab exactly what he thought of being jumped on. Why a dog-phobic would choose a route with 'off lead dog walk' signs all over it I don't know though....
Love that swoop of clouds towards the man and trees on the horizon. He sounds a real Victor Meldrew! I did (sympathetically) chuckle at the vision of you in the squidgy mud and also Pat's comment about Bertie hanging off that man's trousers! Dog owners seem to have so many fun times!
+F Judith, the inclusion of the man (even if he's a bit of a grump and misplaced!!) in the shot just makes it for me. . .he looks SO small and unimportant in the grand scheme of the shot.
