Cow. Parsley. by judithg

Cow. Parsley.

Dropped Adam at another 'hard' exam (be nice to have a good one before we get halfway through!) and took Monty around Lammas Land where the cowparsley is at its magnificent best. Spring seems to have slipped out of our fingers again...
Three good things:
1. I've painted quite a bit of Rachel's room (where the book case used to be) and the new paint matches.
2. I've got the green paint out of my pink jeans after I sat on the lid of the paint pot for about 20 min without realising.
3. We got back from our walk before the rain got too hard (though I was wiping rain drops off the lens for this one.)
I do love this! The shallow dof to throw the cow out of focus is compelling, I have to keep looking at him... Fav.

Well done Judith a perfectly composed shot...how much did you pay the cow!! Love that soft feathery parsley with that solid cow!! Fave !! Off to Cathy's now to get a sore toe sorted so will hear how exams in their house have gone so far!!

haha the sitting on the lid did make me laugh. My donks adore cow parsley, it is nowhere near flowering around here. Really like this shot - fav!

Oh I love this, so clever that you focused on the cow parsley and not the cow, very effective, instant fav. Harry had Biology and PE today, now he has 6 days before the next tranche!!

Good to see some totally English shots again. I've been processing the top 136 out of my thousands of antipodean shots for the past week!

@jo13 Blimey they drag on - Adam is doing iGCSE (no modules done already so nothing in the bag :0( ) so they're on a different schedule - mostly nicely spaced then 3 biggies next Monday followed by maths on Tuesday morning and then a 13 day gap before they do the next lot. Weird!

@jo13 Oh I am planning several very large glasses of vino. I think ours are done on the 12th. I'm just now appreciating how easy my calm daughter was!

Love the shot, especially the focus. (I remember that 'hard' exams are often the ones that the taker has done best in!)

This is a great country scene, cow parsley and a cow, what's not to like about it?! The cow parsley hasn't come out yet up here.

Is it called cow parsley because cows like it chopped up in their mashed potato?
May 14th, 2013
What a perfect title. I have to say I don't understand why everyone finds cow parsley so beautiful - on the other hand, your photo is awesome. Fav.

Boom boom!

Good luck Adam. Was just going to say it wasn't that long ago I was sitting my GCSEs and then thought about it and realised it was 20 years ago. 20 YEARS! oh my GOD.

Just love this. I always think the parsley looks so attractive. Great dof.
May 15th, 2013
Great shot
May 15th, 2013
I love the cow;s gentle face. I remember the Cambridge cows and being intimidated by them. In fact, if I remember correctly, a woman was killed by one the summer I was there. She did something to antagonize them.
May 15th, 2013
Add another fav to the pot. Just love this. The DOF is wonderful xx
May 16th, 2013
