Well I'm afraid it's a flower. And actually I did set off in search of wisteria but I messed up so I'll have to go back tomorrow and try again. These alliums are in Magdelene College garden and I could get a photo with dog in tow by sticking my camera through the railings. All sorts of weather going on today and spring, let alone summer, seems elusive... but post Oklahoma we can't complain.
Three good things:
1. The brave ladies of Woolwich
2. Mum and dad finally in their new apartment
3. My nieces who are excellent unpackers!
Your TGT are excellent today...I have really struggled to think of a good thing these last few days, not because there are bad things just nothing much happening here!! Glad Mum & Dad are settled in their new home. Good for the girls!!
I love these Alliums...big balls of purple & your DOF so good as usual.
Bitterly cold here & heating on full blast for B&B & was hoping the oil tank would last till autumn!!!
Love your alliums and picked this shot out of the latest thumbnails thinking I was finding somebody interesting and new to follow and then found it was the shot of somebody interesting I am already following!!! And yes, what weather, heating on, here in Hampshire.
You've done a good job of .... 'through the railings today' ....! You must be bored to tears with my May calendar full of flowers. I'm getting a bit fed up with it myself now but it's made the choices easy.
Such wonderful pops of purple...delightful composition!
Such an horrific event in London ~ the world is too crazy. And you are so right about the bravery of the remarkable women who stepped forward to attempt to help. Good news about your parents being all settled in. I'm busy helping my mom do the same...we're still waiting for the rest of her furniture to arrive, but thankfully she has enough to get by comfortably until it does.
Beautiful colours in this. There is a pub near me with the most beautiful wisteria. I was looking at it this morning as I drove past, then noticed someone there taking a shot already!
I have been away from the news for a few days - was appalled at Woolwich - in tears when I read the accounts. It seems there are lunatics everywhere. How far away are Mum and Dad? And your alliums (allia?) are gorgeous - and the same shade as wisteria!
Lovely -- thanks for identifying the flower . My daughter has some in her garden planted by the house's former occupant but we didn't know what they are. Now we do!
lovely shot (and my favourite colour is purple) - don't know how I missed this one during the week, love the DoF and all the soft purple pom poms of the flowers
Love the dof and the color. Alliums are one of those flowers I enjoy seeing in other people's gardens but for some reason not in my own. I'm not sure why.
