I've been dying to photograph this chap for ages as he lives quite close to me but it seems too obvious in a suburban street. So today I just pretended to photograph the trees. The vibrancy of the reds seems to have completely thrown my camera sensor and they looked really weird so I've hammed them up a bit more in processing. Anyway - if any of you are wondering where 'he' goes in the off season now you know. No doubt he'll be off to The Pole again soon - if John Lewis is anything to go by he should be there already - they've got all their Christmas display up.
Three GT:
1. Interesting weather - windy, warm, wet
2. I'm off meeting my sister in London tomorrow
3. You lovely people put my swan on PP - THANKS!
@lucypics You don't get this in your village? Not always red - sometimes he wears head to foot yellow or green. It's not easy to make a suit from scratch. Shame it's nearly made my sensor explode.
What an interesting chap. I assume he always wears red? I grew up in a college town and can say without exaggerating you see many strange and interesting people wandering the streets.
what a great catch - love an eccentric too - don't know why we feel it would be weird to photograph them - them wouldn't dress like that if they didn't want to be noticed!!
A great capture of this eccentric chap. Pretending to be photographing something else seems to work pretty well. At least in Cambridge you don't feel odd with a camera in your hand!
What an extraordinary sight, great capture, please try and get him in head to toe yellow and green!
...I want to read his book!
