The city council has invested in some roaming tourist helpers. I'd quite like that job as I like walking around the city interfering when people look a bit confused - but I'm not sure I could cope with the uniform.....
Two ladies who can cope - and were grabbed by a whole load of French schoolchildren within half a second of this shot.

I love this idea and I think you'd be a perfect ambassador, Judith! But I agree with you...those uniforms are not flattering. I do like the pink accents and the hats. I'm thinking a soft grey pin stripe in a natural fabric and a sleek, but comfortable boot. Oh, and a brighter scarf color.
Well I think the uniforms are a great talking point ....rather a comedy look & the rolled umbrella beats the lot. They are a tourist attraction in themselves...I think there will be many photos of these two going round the world in peoples holiday snaps!!
Such a funny shot - agree with Lucy that they do look just like a comedy duo. Can hardly believe they're real! I love the way the taller one appears to be giving the other a right ticking off, but the recipient of that just looks very smug.
I saw this a day or two back and couldn't find the words, told myself I'd come back when I was more eloquent and I have and I still don't have them. Those uniforms....
