It's not often that I take my daily photo before breakfast but I couldn't resist this little scene as I walked past the utility room. Luckily it takes a cat a little time to wriggle backwards out of a cat flap so I had time to get my camera. A ginger tom was sitting on the fence outside - Rafiki wouldn't venture out despite my assurances that I'd scared him off - she did trot out quite happily after Monty had done his bit though. It's obvious whom she regards as the most reliable when it comes to territory.
Bit too early for 3 GT but:
1. More fog converting into a lovely afternoon.
2. Hopefully a nice walk when the gas man has finished making my boiler flue 'up to current standards' (which basically means that there's nothing wrong with the one we've got).
3. A nice chat sympathising with an old lady in the supermarket about cats that eat food enthusiastically until you stock up on the brand and then they turn their noses up - @lucypics would not understand this experience!
Great pussycat shot. Ah yes, the cat food thing - we got our current cats as kittens and we vowed that we would stick to one brand of food in different flavours and not ever swap brands or give them "people food" either. They're 6 years old now and it's worked a treat. They still like the food, and they don't pester us at the dinner table when we are eating either - the previous cats continually did that and drove us mad!
Hihi this is really cute ;). Nr. 3 sounds like what Little J does to me: whenever I think I have found some food she'll always eat, she refuses to do so at the next opportunity. I think she's already starting to play mind games ;).
Brilliant, love this. No never had this experience of a cat rejecting food. I can even buy black sunflower seeds and they are merrily chomped down!! Fav for sure
This is simply wonderful! A classic capture! Love the story as well...Monty is such a trustworthy security patrol. And I agree with you and the lady at the grocery on #3...so frustrating. :)
Your cat flap is extraordinarily clean! Mine used to be covered in cat smooch and hair! Don't have one now, cat has to ask to be let out. ...and she has just done exactly what you related -refused to eat the latest and best cat biscuits!
Has to be a FAV!.....our grey and white goes through catflaps in one dive, it's hilarious to watch. He can even break into to my neighbours cat flap!
And both of them SO do that 'thing' with the food!!
