Good news from Wakefield today - the Cambridge CIty U16 Boys have come 3rd in the National Outdoor Hockey Finals. A really great result - it's only the third year that the club has fielded an U16 team. Quite a few of Adam's team mates from last year's finals are in the current team - they are a talented bunch and clearly learned from last year's experience. And well done to Beeston for winning.
I've been ironing and packing today so it's a shot from the garden - I do get nostalgic about flowering current - partly because we used to press the leaves on to our skin and then rub in dry soil to make 'tattoos' - we knew how to live!
Three GT:
1. Mothers.
2. Daughters who cook the Sunday roast for you and sons who redeem themselves for lack of contribution by carving at the last minute ;0)
3. Amazing volunteer coaches at sports clubs.
Very pretty. I have one of these in my front garden, but Max (my husband) decided to prune it to within an inch of it's life about a month ago. He knows nothing about gardening.
I've got one of these shrubs too and funnily enough was squeezing and smelling the leaves only today. Never heard of the tattoo thing, must give it a try. Have fun in America, my dad is in Washington and apparently there has been snow very recently!, pack your woollies!!!
such a lovely floral capture (...and the DIY tattoo process is much appreciated too--I know some kids that will be eager to try that out once the snow melts and flowers begin to blossom here ;)
