The perfect antidote to a rather frustrating morning - a walk along the riverbank in a lovely dappled late summer sunshine. Well it was until I was distracted from trying to take photos of dragonflies on the wing by a fisherman shouting 'Oy get out of it!' I dashed over, expecting to find Monty tucking into his box of worms only to find him sitting under the umbrella like it was the very best spot in the world and he would just wait there thank you very much while I did 'my' walk. The usual man who fishes from that spot fusses over him so he really didn't see what the problem was. Luckily the man didn't shout at me because I wasn't in the mood and he might have found out that I think fish should be left alone in peace for herons to eat.
This part of the bank belongs to a large bungalow, owners of the rare breed sheep that Monty barks at pointlessly and also home to the pair of swans and 6 cygnets that I photographed in the spring - all very grown up now.
@fueast I was tempted to ask him how he would like it if when he went to suck on one of his fags a big hook shot out and dragged him along the river by his face...
@fueast No - I would actually prefer it if they bonked them on the head and ate them rather than keep dragging them out and putting them back!! Is that mad?!
I have a lovely picture of Monty sitting under that guys umbrella.....watching him fish.......what a clever dog! I am not a fan of fishing for the sake of fishing either...I don't mind anybody or any animal killing something to eat for food but just for sport ...no way! It's as bad as that little devil the fox biting the headshot our chickens & leaving their bodies.
