Capesthorne Hall by juliehill

Capesthorne Hall

I live in an area of Cheshire that has quite a few Stately Homes. This is Capesthorne Hall, built in 1719 and still privately owned and lived in by the descendants of the original family who built it. It is open to the public on certain days (like today) where I went to watch a local triathlon that my husband was in.

What a wonderful building and so cool that the family still holds it. How nice that they share it with others. (Hate to think what it costs to heat.)

What a great photo! Last time I was here, I hugged a tree and a load of wasps flew out of it and into my cardigan. 7 stings, haha!

@sailingmusic I'm not aware that it has been used in any films although its surprising as others in the area have. You can get married there though.
