Abandoned tractor by julienne1

Abandoned tractor

Not sure how long this old tractor has been there but it's been a long time. It's all rusty and kids have even painted graffiti on it. I don't think it will be going anywhere soon! The village behind is Pitney which is about 3 miles from my home village of High ham.
love this the abandoned tractor and the church and countryside in the background

What a pretty village. I suppose the tractor will eventually become part of the landscape.

Hate to see an old tractor go to waste, but it sort of fits in here very well. Nicely done.

Parts of Northern Shetland are strewn with old agricultural machinery.

Looks like they started in the field, it packed up so they left it there, a little while ago too from the state of the field

@denisefuller @jomo @bluerose15 @365projectorgchristinewebb @thewatersphotos @freyjad @susanalena - thanks! It is a beautiful spot and somehow the tractor just seems to fit!

@woofandweft1 - I think it has!

@amyk @777margo - It's a very pretty village nestled in between the hills

@rickster549 - It does seem a shame to see it just corroding away, particularly as just up the road there is an annual Steam Fair where lots of tractor enthusiasts bring there beloved ancient tractors to show them off.

@lifeat60degrees - it seems to happen a lot here too for some reason!

@mbmomentsintime - yes it does look as if they just gave up and couldn't be bothered to do anything about it.
