Sloes almost ready

Looks like another bumper year for sloes which is good new for those of us that like sloe gin :)

I guess I never knew what slo gin was made from. I think back in the day when I was drinking it I never gave a thought as to what it was made from.

Yes. Saw lots when we were blackberrying last week. Must wait for the first frost though. Aren't they a gorgeous colour? So rich.

@woofandweft1 - yes traditionally the advice is to wait for a frost, but in practice is hasn't seemed to make that much difference. They have ripened very early this year and I'm not sure they would be in a very good condition by the first frost (unless it's very soon!)
