Bronze Shieldbug nymph (Troilus luridus) by julienne1

Bronze Shieldbug nymph (Troilus luridus)

This is the final stage nymph of this shieldbug species. He will lose most of the bright red colouring when he becomes an adult and become mostly the metallic bronze colour that this one has on the front. It's a fierce predator but the good news for our native Seven-spot Ladybirds is that it often feeds on the rival immigrant Harlequin ladybird's larvae.
Great shot! He's got some cool colors!
