Marsh Harrier roost by julienne1

Marsh Harrier roost

Not a wonderful shot but I had to include it because I was so pleased to see it. I had been watching it hunting over the reedbeds in the failing light by Barton Broad, and they are such wonderful birds to watch.
I'm glad you included this one! I like seeing all the different birds and animals from your part of the world!! FAV

I agree with Gary. Never seen a bird like this in a tree and the colors are so pretty. Very nice capture. Hope to see more in the future. :>)

Cool picture! I, too, like to see different birds from other locales. Helps me be more observant here!

@thewatersphotos - thanks Gary. I love seeing the range of animals and birds people post here too. I was just so chuffed to see this one because I'd never been able to find one at reasonably close quarters before

@nydelignorsk - thanks! It is a magnificent bird which became extinct in Britain in the 19th Century but which is making a slow but sure recovery - though still only in a few places.

@amyk - thanks. It's true that looking at what others post here does make you look more closely at what's around you!

@rickster549 - ha! It does look a bit like a chicken on a perch! But fortunately chickens don't usually have such a predatory inclination!
