There is a lot of this parasitic plant in Somerset growing on a variety of trees - mostly hawthorn, apple, and oak. However most clumps have lost their berries to hungry birds by now! This clump has obviously been overlooked.
Lots of it here but the birds do love it - there's a mistle thrush around at the moment. Love the light and the leaves and berries against that blue sky.
We have lots of mistletoe here but it seems to grow quite happily with its host tree and the live together nicely. Unlike the strangler figs they just throttle their host tree until it submits entirely.
