When it's so hot this is the best place to walk Jazmyn as she can dip in the river whenever she starts to overheat. There are also hundreds of dragonflies, damselflies and occasional glimpses of a kingfisher to amuse me! The Parrett is very slow flowing as the gradient down to the Bristol Channel is only about 1 foot per mile, so the whole feel of the area at the moment is very hot and lazy! Of course things are very different when there is a lot of rain and the slow moving water means the river fills quickly and is very prone to flooding. No worries anout that at the moment though!
