Speckled Bush-cricket

This is a youngster or nymph. He/she won't shed this final skin until late summer and emerge as the adult ready for breeding. Both males and females call to each other but their song is high frequency and usually inaudible to human ears. I love their long antennae.
Beautiful little insect. One of the lecturers at Uni York had the equipment to record insect sounds and if I remember correctly this was one of his subjects
