Marsh Woundwort by julienne1

Marsh Woundwort

This lovely wildflower grows alongside the rhynes on the Somerset Levels. It's another plant that has been used extensively for its various medicinal properties ... In medieval times, it was considered one of the most valuable herbs. It was used directly on wounds as a poultice to heal them (hence the name), for joint pain, cramp, vertigo, internal bleeding, and as an antispasmodic.
