Mother Shipton moth by julienne1

Mother Shipton moth

A boldly marked day-flying moth. Its name comes from the pattern on each wing which looks a bit like the profile of an old woman. Ursula Southeil, known as Mother Shipton was a sixteenth-century prophetess and witch who supposedly foretold the death of Cardinal Wolsey in 1530
