Mr Cobourne's Cows...

One from the archives.... Going through some family memorabilia and came across this photo once again of our farm from about 100 years ago... I am guessing that this was a black & white photo or sepia but has been hand painted the colour into it... cows all look like they are a smaller jersey and Short Horn breed not like our present large Holstein Friesian we have now.. a great record for the family...
Interesting to see a hand painted photo! I had one of a family portrait once. It must be valuable, really!

Someone was a photographer in the family a 100 years ago! It's wonderful that the photos are yet preserved and you're still enjoying them as well as sharing them with us. It's interesting, the work put into the hand painting in this image — a colored picture was a pleasure to see a century ago just as it is now.
