Steampunk....

While visiting Oamaru last week we came across the Steampunk Headquarters.. There is quite a following of Steam Punk in Oamaru and they look as if they take it very seriously.. The building in this part of town certainly add to the atmosphere..

this is a great photo of this scene! I find the Oamaru stone and the steam engine seem to put different light. I like the clarity of that odd engine that makes wonderful steam engine sounds but also notice the arched window shapes!

I love this place. Great shot. When we were there last year there were so many people around it was impossible to get a great picture like yours. Fav.

No it cost to go in and we had limited time so didn't bother.. Though the other shops in this part of town a pretty cool.. Had to go to the Whiskey shop to get Farmer George a little tipple.. @onewing

How extraordinary! I am not sure what country you are in. Is it New Zealand? If so is this where Steampunk originated from? We get big conventions in the UK now!
