Finally Finished.... by julzmaioro

Finally Finished....

Today I finally finished ... my first adult colouring in picture... No not book ... the first picture... I bought the book and pencils last year thinking it would be a nice thing to do in my spare time ... I guess I did not have as much spare time as I thought I had... Yes it is very theraputic and I should make time to do more... perhaps this could be my NYR.... to do 2 this year...
Isn't it amazing how long they actually take. I have started a few but not yet finished one. Well done, you're picture looks lovely.

A beautiful and precise image , well done !! BUT a hobby-craft which has never appealed to me I suppose I know my lack of patience in getting it finished !yet I have patience to paint and draw !! -- Just as well we are not all the same !

Great shot of a theme many of us can relate to. I still haven't completed my first colouring in picture!

What a beautiful image, but also congratulations on the colouring - it's very neat looking.

Lovely colours & a very relaxing, meditative thing to do. I have only done one & that was at a CWA night.

A gorgeous, colour filled image. Well done on completing one… you're one ahead of me!

Good for you, Julia. I wonder if you found it relaxing and meditative. I have been given a book, but feel tense, and thinking I could be doing better things with my time. My relaxing time is sitting on the deck gazing at the butterflies and birds.

@ethelperry I would sooner be walking the beach with the camera .. but it was something I could do on a yukky day in short bursts... but watching butterflys and birds would be way up there...

You kept between the lines nicely Julz! I have never tried this popular hobby myself nor been attracted to it, lacking in patience I fear! For anyone a bit arty it must be a lovely way to relax & very satisfying to see the picture evolve!

@julzmaioro yes, a cold, wet , windy day sitting with heater on and colouring in would work.

it's interesting how popular colouring in is for adults now, I think it proves we need to use our creative brains like children do 😃

Lovely shot, full of light and colour!

Great composition Julie. You've done better than me I only managed half a one!

Nice composition.

Your hands are waaaay steadier than mine ...

I like both your composition and your colouring-in. Confession time for me too - I have done only one picture over the last year even though I took book and pencils on our travels. I guess the camera and photo opportunities won out instead this time.

My daughter got me a colouring in book but I haven't had time to colour any of the pictures yet.
She has done colouring in even before it became popular. She is thrilled that there is such a choice of books these days.

I brought myself one of those too a year ago. I'm yet to finish 1 picture, so a big congrats from me. :)

I can see how it would be very relaxing. I've never tried it though. What we can see here looks very pretty and looks like you stayed in the lines ;)
