We live in a Market Garden area famous for growing amongst other things potatoes and onions .. and between the crops the gardeners plant mustard as a green crop that is then ploughed in and then replanted with a crop.. so I love it this time of the year when the yellow mustard is a beautiful contrast to our clear blue summer sky's .. you can see the Market Garden packing sheds at the top of the field along with the chimney of the boiler...
Fabulous photo - what a brilliant colour. I was interested in what you said about ploughing in the mustard crop and googled it a bit to find out that it's used as a 'cover crop' to improve the soil. I never knew. Interesting.
