Wax Eye in the Flame Tree.. by julzmaioro

Wax Eye in the Flame Tree..

Today I noticed that there was some flowers on my Flame Tree and the little wax eye's were busy flitting around excited about feeding on the nectar.. @ludwigsdiana had a shot of this tree the other day but she called it the Coral tree ... I think it is just a case of different country different name .., Now just have to wait for the Tui ( NZ native bird) to come and feed up on the Flame Tree nectar..
@ludwigsdiana here is my Flame tree ( which you call Coral Tree ) and the birds are busy ...

they are beautiful. We call them coral trees here in Australia too. The Illawarra Flame trees are different and the flowers are bell shape.

I don't recognise this flower at all so I don't think we have this tree in the UK unfortunately! Beautiful bright colourful flower & the little bird sitting nicely on the branch!

Precious little bird, posed so perfectly beside this gorgeous flower. (I like the way your frame your photos with a drop shadow.)

Nice shot. The plant is known as a Coral Tree in Australia. It is Erythrina indica.
