Big Fat Wood Pigeon.. by julzmaioro

Big Fat Wood Pigeon..

Today our Garden Circle group visited a lovely garden on the Manukau Peninsula.. The man of the garden is a bit of a sculptor .. and there were lots of his creations all around the garden .. This one is a steel cut out of a Karuru or Native Wood Pigeon.. but with the clouds behind it made it look like he had a big fluffy fat chest.. The garden looks down to the beach in the distance .. what a spot ..
I got home late this afternoon and discovered we had no power .. after waiting for some time it still was not on so cooked tea on the BBQ.. and ate it by candle light .. Thank goodness for a lovely cosy fire to keep us warm .. Power repairman have now been and repaired it 5 hours later..
Lovely view for a garden

What a great sculpture his chest looks so fluffy, how nice of the clouds to co-operate like they have.
Glad the power was restored reasonably quickly. This time last year we were without power for 4 days due to power lines down in a sub tropical storm.
