Today I called into see a friend and as I got out of the car something 'swooped' just above my head .. It was this big fat Keruru ( NZ Wood Pigeon) .. he was heading for the Idesia tree for another feast.. He was unaware that I was even there .. He was having a really good feed..
@happypat we have been having some lovely warm clear sky days next minute the sky opens up.. huge down pour. Then sunny again... mr pigeon loves those bertues aswell..
@golftragic They are very hefty ... at times they sit in trees and eat puriri berries and they seem to get 'drunk' on them and have been known to fall out of the tree's.. they seem to fly very low and only short distances ..
