Moon Scape..

Today we had a fantastic trip to the small off shore Islands of the Pitt Islands.. we flew in a small six seater plane and landed on a grass strip.. a few bumps but fine.. we were then shown around the Island.. with a nice Bush walk .. a yummy lunch at Flower Pot Lodge.. then a further drive around to this amazing cliff with it fantastic ' sculptures'..

Wonderful sculptural scenery. I had to look up Pitt Island, right near the international date line, a long way away!

@judithdeacon yes it is the 1st place on the world to see the sun.. around 800 k's east of Christchurch nz.. still part of NZ.. beautiful place.. around a population of 45.. school of 9.. primary age then off to NZ to boarding school.. fishing and farming the income for the locals..
