Last night Farmer George had to go and check the water line and troughs up at our Runoff block .. It is amongst the hills and has a really good 'look out' to the Tasman Sea to the West and over farm land to the hills beyond to the South and the East .. It was a glorious night even though a bit scary as FG likes to scare me a bit with his 4x4 driving .. but it was worth it .. the small lake is Parkinson Lake and we were told as Kids that it was bottomless... I have swam in it and I must admit I didn't touch the bottom when only a few feet from the edge .. so maybe it is .. Another claim to fame is that it was one of the spots the a NZ film was filmed here several years ago ..
