Kaemua Kaemuri and Round and Round.... by julzmaioro

Kaemua Kaemuri and Round and Round....

Another sculpture from ' The Sculptures of the Gulf'.. on Waiheke Island this one was done by Kazu Nakagawa and Pacific Environments Architects... In this Collabortation between the artist and Architects Kaemua Kaemuri means 'Looking backwards to move forward'.. It cast interesting shadows and I like how it framed another sculpture in the distance.. This one was called 'Round and Round' and I will show you a closer look of this one another day .. It is made from Lawson Cypress and measures 3800 x 380 x2
I have to honestly admit, I don't see the meaning in half of these sculptures but somebody does - enough to pay for them!

I do love these large sculptures that are out in the open, in countryside areas.
