This morning while feeding the calves I heard on the radio that it was International Teddy Bear Day ... So I thought I would give the 'Boy's' an outing .. The big fellow is FG's Teddy from when he was young so close to 70 years old .. The smaller one in the blue pants was mine ... and few years younger .. you may notice that he has very little hair .. I can remember doing this ... My Dad was looking after me ( clearly not very well) when my Mum was away having driving lessons and I gave Teddy a very 'Short back and sides'... I kept on saying 'It will grow back'.. The little white one was bought back from Japan by Kylie so has a special place.. and the little fella is a pretty new addition to the family .. The Winnie the Pooh books have always been a family favourite.. So Happy Teddy Day...
Ha ha i loved your story. My very first teddy is the same as yours (blue trousers). Must be a Yorkshire teddy because I was born there too. I also cut teddys hair and thought it would grow back. Mine is in a worse state than yours though because both my girls claimed him when they were small too. He has had lots of skin grafts and even had a sex change at some point because Zoe always said he was a she. So he still wears dresses
@onewing Ha ha I suspect he could be a Shropshire Teddy as he was bought back from England when my Aunty went for a Holiday and she was from the Shropshire part of the Family ( Mums side)
Oh how lovely all sitting there together having a story read to them I hope. So lovely to hear the story about each one too. I like yours best I think.....his hair hasn’t grown back yet I see!
I didn't know! There are a few of us who have special teddies I'm sure. I also believe every child should grow up with the original pooh books - and the poems too. Beautiful composition.
