This is the area that is 'over the river' from our home .. Only seems a stone throw away but it is quite a drive to cross the river .. love the rock formations of this area.. And today was particully a sad occasion.. One of our friends has past away from a very short battle with cancer.. There is a group of 16 friends and the Lads of the group went on a trip around the South Island of NZ when they were around 21 ( FG was a little older) well they had a fantastic trip with lots of tales to tell and probably some we do not know about.. Most are fairly local but 3 a little further afield so every few years we have a get together and our last one was in March .. One chain is the link has broken.. You have conquered distance photography! It looks rather wild and so green! So sorry about the sad part of this day! At our age we count ourselves lucky if we have all friends alive. But we have lost 3 - all husbands.
