We are still in lockdown so trying to eek out the groceries until next Wednesday when I have a click and collect grocery order to pick up.. Today was bread day.. I do the rising in my sunroom under a towel with wheat bags to keep the dough warm what I hadn't allowed for was the warm sun coming through as well.. after the usual time I checked it and it had 'spewed' out on all sides.. I was unsure what to do but right before my eyes it just collapsed so nothing else for it I tipped it out and rekneaded.. after a short rising into the oven.. and like Topsey it grew.. Pleased to report it was spot on and was not full of air bubbles.. Sure was 'active' yeast.
Thanks to you all for getting one of my photo's on TT.. https://365project.org/julzmaioro/365/2021-08-20
Ha - must've been the day for breadmaking today - I think both Brooke and Jesse were onto it as well. I'll bet it still tasted great. I have fond memories of staying at yours when I was a kid and your mum turning out the most wonderful bread!
Well done on the TT with that great image of the sunbeams coming through the clouds.
