We have been having some extreamly dry weather so it has been great for making hay/silage and the last couple of day's Farmer George has been getting this paddock ready for 'harvest'... he cut it one evening part of it in the dark ( the farmer never sleeps) and then 'conditioned' it by another machine and flicked it all out so that it would dry evenly and then this morning raked it into winrows.. ready for the baler to come and put into big round bales.. I missed this process.. This is the steepest hill of this paddock and until we got a 4wd tractor this part could not be cut,.. tomorrow is the job of collecting all the bales up and putting them in the shed... and the way things are going we will be feeding them out very soon...
Yes Brian has gone into his first silo, worryingly dry! Love the way this slope stands out so well from the background! Haytime mystery be great in this hit sunny weather, will be good stuff! Smelling lovely too!
