Lake Tekapo.... Looking the Other Way ..

This is the view that the Church in my other shot today is looking at ... I just turned and caught this .. The sunrise was not as good as I hoped as there was this colour in the sky but then it turned grey ..
I love this - just a hint of pink in amongst the bluey-grey. A very nice shot.

Very pretty sky over the mountains. I think this is my favourite area of New Zealand.

@golftragic I did as well but been put off a bit by a very crappy hotel... which really disappoints me as a New Zealander that some hotels in tourist 'hotspots' are presented this way. Booked online and the photos looked good..

@julzmaioro What a bummer for you and certainly not good for the tourist industry. Same sort of thing goes on here of course with some unscrupulous operators. I guess we were lucky on two counts. First, the lupins were in full bloom everywhere. Second, we were on a golf tour (surprise, surprise) and only spent a few hours at Tekapo and Pukaki en route to the next destination. It was a fabulous couple of weeks, the bus driver hailed from Oamaru and knew the SI like the back of his hand.
