Dark-Eyed Junco

71 / 365
A friend of mine on project 365, Rachel (http://365project.org/rachdbo/365) was sooo kind today and she mentioned being inspired by my bird photos. I was so touched that I welled up and I just think it's the sweetest thing. Anyways, I checked out her bird picture and it was of a junco! I sat there and thought, hey, there are juncos outside at my feeder all the time! And so here is where Rachel inspired me to finally capture a picture of these little guys... My boyfriend calls them "little sh*%heads", haha... Thanks for the inspiration Rachel!!! :D

Very nice. I can't wait for the birds to come back to my neck of the woods. Finally got my bird feeders back up and this long and cold winter has kept them all away.

@marubozo I bet you're excited!! I am lucky to live in a place where many birds winter and then even more come for the summer... Not the same as when I was in Newfoundland! Where abouts are you from? :)

{{vision getting blurry}} **sniffle** Now I'm the one who's very touched by your words. Isn't it great that we can inspire each other? That is part of what makes 365 so great! To learn and grow from each other as photographers.
I love the picture too! The focus and setting. It shows him off nicely. I love the curious tilt of his head. :)
