Year 2: 88/365
Yup. I like my coloured mess :D And I am a world traveller to be (at least what I hope). Can you tell? The big blue map is of Europe and shows the countries I've actually been to. The one on the right is Germany and there are pins to all the cities I was. The smaller world map shows countries I got a Postcrossing card from and on the magnet wall is all kind of stuff - pictures, notes and gift vouchers mostly ^^ And my timetable *puke*
Personally I think this is awesome. It took me until 24 to go to my third country. I grew up 5 km from Canada so it barely counts as going to another country. Now I'm at 64 and will hit at least my 70th country in 2015. You're way ahead for me for your age.
@mcrt Thanks! That's not much but 70 is a lot - then you certainly saw a bit of the world :D I'm proud of having seen 8 (you can't see Monaco and the Vatican on the map but I count them), I know it's not possible for everyone in my age, some people have been to less, some to more but I'm glad I saw these so far :)
Great concept, Jule! You're catching up to me rather quickly. I've been to 11 countries (12 if I count the Vatican). I like the idea of mapping your Postcrossing contacts! For me, there'd be a huge pin for Germany. It seems like every 3rd contact I get is from there. LOL
@kannafoot Never forget the Vatican :D
Yeah I know, that's why I turned Germany off (the perks of being a German, haha) but for me it is Russia then :(
@justaspark LOL yeah, I have a disproportionate number of cards to and from Russia, too. The only problem with that is that mail between the US and Russia seems to take an eternity. My postcards between here and Germany average 9 days. Between here and Russia, they average a full month. Did I ever mention that patience is not one of my strengths? LOL
