The Blur That Hides the Location by jyokota

The Blur That Hides the Location

A common place for many of us, but my get-pushed from partner Rachel @roseolivia is to incorporate "blur" so I'm playing with different degrees of blur. The colors are fairly true to the realistic image, but the blur makes the separateness blend. I wonder if this blur pushes the image too far into the "abstract" category?
@roseolivia -- another attempt.

I don't know where this is but it makes a beautiful abstract!Wonderful composition and contrast

Oh, I thought of you specifically tonight as I "intentionally" caught a moon beam (with blur). I think I'm practicing get pushed virtually through you? Last week, I went to a donut shop at midnight, and now this.

This is a great shot! And @jodimuli I caught you! Yay, love to see you here again! :)

Love the intensity of colours in this shot but clueless as to what it is. I'm thinking a railway station, some type of screening, fencing, fluoro lights above ....???? And I see you are still out at night taking photos. Had to laugh at @darylo comment above re visiting the donut shop at midnight!

Oh, and a subway station?

Instant fav, Junko! I love the color and shapes -- it's a great blur shot and wonderful abstract. Perfect amount of blur.

Love the way the blue glows

I LOVE this shot and the abstract feel. Great contrast between the vibrant and luminous blue and the dark background. you have captured the blur wonderfully giving it an abstract feel yet keeping the shapes and lines. Gets my vote :-)

Great abstract, I have no idea where or what it is though.

OK, my guess is toilet stalls. We have a facility in the city here that has blue lights in it, apparently, you can't find your veins under blue light, so the junkies don't drop in and shoot up.

Superb abstract Junko.

@mzzhope @jodimuli @pflaume @darylo @taffy @rachelwithey @roseolivia @danielwsc @seanoneill -- thanks for all your wonderfully supportive comments. I do sincerely appreciate each comment you make, and apologize that I don't thank you enough . . .
@darylo @adayinmallacoota -- you two have it right, it's a subway station!
@quixoticneophyte -- your guess made me laugh (but perhaps I shouldn't have . . .)
@adayinmallacoota -- Yes, once the "night photo bug" entered my veins, I now see the night world not as "too dark for photos" but full of possibilities!
@darylo, I'm glad you are practicing get-pushed along with me :)

@jyokota Very cool for a subway station. We don't have them, so I have no idea what they look like in person. Do the colours change, or is it always blue?

@quixoticneophyte I'm totally in line with Alexander - toilet stalls. The blues are stunning and the pattern created is very appealing.
