Chicago, Buckingham Fountain by jyokota

Chicago, Buckingham Fountain

Photowalk with Taffy! We were standing at opposite sides of the fountain so our backgrounds show different buildings, and she was focusing on a get-pushed of the evening skyline.

Lessons learned: Always take a tripod on night walks. Learn how to adjust one so you don't have to stand on your toes and angle your camera upwards if you are borrowing a taller friend's tripod. Most of my 100+ photos of the fountain were at angles sharply looking upward.

Alternate image taken earlier in the evening without a tripod: http://365project.org/jyokota/challenges-and/2013-09-30

HELP!
I had planned to create a "montage" by combining smaller images of fountain parts as challenged by @la_photographic my get-pushed partner for this week. But I quickly realized that I don't really understand the difference between montage and collage as it seems people use that term somewhat interchangeably when I do a search for images with those tags. Any definite responses to this question?
Very well done!! It's gorgeous! And well framed.

Interesting how different it looks from the other side. The fountain is the same but the lighting looks completely different.
