A walk in the misty rain after seeing the Met opera movie of Shostakovich's The Nose, the absurd story of a nose that leaves its owner, and the ensuing drama of its independent life and eventual reunification with its owner. Most engaging aspect of it was William Kentridge's set design, projections, and overall visual imagery.
@mzzhope@anazad511@adayinmallacoota@stimuloog@roseolivia@streats@deburahiru@helixconcepts@seanoneill@amandal THANK you very much for your generous comments! @vankrey and our spouses had gone to the opera movie together, and after the absurdity of the story, which @mara19500 guessed correctly, we went out for custard (Wisconsin ice cream) and wandered in this misty fog before heading home. Michael and I both eyed the foggy scene and the buildings' lights coming through, and talked about the atmosphere of it all. when I saw the street light, I knew I had to include it. Sadly, there was this obnoxiously awful white sign just under it that said, "no bike riding on the sidewalks" (no kidding!) and I had to crop it out, giving my photo this long shape.
Very moody shot, you captured the mist pretty well.
